Evangelical Community Church has an extensive lending library consisting of 41 topical categories, which include printed, audio and video materials. The main library is located at the Church Office on Springdale Road. The library annex is conveniently located in the foyer of the Church.
Materials are available to check out on an "honor system" basis. Some CD and tape sets are stored in a locked cabinet and are available only when a Library staff person is available (hours will vary; see Church Life for listings). Tape Library check out procedures and materials are located on top of the tape cabinets.

The Library is located at the church office
(2192 Springdale Road)

All materials may be checked out for three weeks. Please renew materials by updating the green card due date or advise us by a note if you need to keep anything longer. Overdue fines will not be assessed for any materials. Charges for lost or significantly damaged materials, including tape and CD cases, will be passed along at the current replacement cost.
We ask that Library users (individuals or families) donate $10 per year ($5 per year if only using the Tape Library) to help defray replacement and maintenance costs.
Please complete a member information form and leave this with your donation in the “Library Membership Fees” box located on the Library Desk. Envelopes & member information forms are available in the lower compartment of the Check-Out Box. This, too, is on an “honor system” and we hope that all who can, will contribute.

- Library Material Check Out Procedure
There is a “Check-Out” box on the cabinet by the desks with everything you will need to check out materials. For each item you wish to borrow, remove the green card from the book pocket and fill in your name, phone number and your due date, which should be three weeks from check out date. A calendar is located on the cabinet for your reference in determining the due date. Leave the green card in the file compartment marked “Pocket Cards.” Take a white Due Date card from the box, stamp or write your due date on it, and put it in the book pocket so that you have a record of when the book is due.
There is no limit on the number of books that you may check out. There is a limit of two tape or CD sets, or four videos, which may be checked out at once.
- We may call you if your materials are late in being returned, especially if someone else is asking for them.

Donations to the Library
All book or other media donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. Please understand that the library is guided by the following policy:
- Donated materials will be reviewed and, if appropriate, added to the collection. Materials that are not to be added to the library will either be returned to the donor, or sold or donated by the library staff according to the donor’s preference as stated on the signed Deed of Gift.
- All materials added to the collection must be consistent with the Library Statement of Purpose and the Selection Policy statement above.
- Books should be in good physical condition. Please do not simply bring us everything you wish to discard! Half Priced Books is no longer accepting any print materials dated prior to 1985. This leaves us one less outlet to whom we may sell or donate unwanted materials.
- Pamphlets, study workbooks and home school textbooks are not appropriate donations.
- Books will not be appraised for tax purposes. A copy of the Deed of Gift form will be provided. Donors should provide a list of materials donated, including the title, author, publisher, year of publication, type of media and condition. A computer template or reproducible form is available upon request for this.
