Sunday School
From childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:15)
At ECC, we believe in the importance of Bible-centered teaching for all children, beginning at birth. While the primary duty of training children in understanding the Scriptures has been given to parents, we take seriously our role in coming alongside families to provide Bible teaching that will lay a foundation for children coming to salvation and then growing in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus.
Our Sunday School begins in the Nursery, where children are taught foundational truths about God, and begin their journey of learning the true stories of the Bible.
Our age-graded children's classes, preschool through 4th grade, use the Show Me Jesus curriculum from Great Commision Publications. This program's goal is to show how Jesus, revealed throughout the Bible, came to seek and save the lost.
Our 5th and 6th grade class studies the G2R (Genesis to Revelation) Bible survey, also from Great Commission.
Summer Activities
During the summer, our children have the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful church property and serve others in our community.
Weekly swim times
Tuesdays from 3–5 p.m. and Thursdays from 12–2 p.m. at the Church Office.
We are blessed to have a pool on our property! CPR-certified staff members supervise two swim times each week during the summer for children, youth, and parents. Children will receive a snack during each swim time during a short break from playing in the pool.
Family picnics
Certain Tuesdays at 5 p.m. at the Church Office.
We host several family picnics during the summer immediately following the Tuesday afternoon swim time. Hot dogs and burgers for the grill are provided and families bring side dishes to share. Come enjoy a great time of fun and fellowship!
Summer Sunday nights
Certain Sundays at 5 p.m. outside the Church Office.
During the summer, the whole church family gathers for evenings of worship, dinner and fun. Fishing Night, Water Fun Night and a Luau are among the themes of these relaxed Sunday Fellowships.
Backyard Kids Clubs
Day camps held during the summer in backyards around Cincinnati.
Our children participate in and help lead several Backyard Kids Clubs (BKCs) during the summer. These 4-day camps present the gospel in fun and engaging ways in peoples' backyards for children who live nearby. You can think of it as a mobile, youth-run VBS. We host one larger BKC on the church property for ECC children and others we will invite from the community.
