Proverbs 8:18–21

I. God blesses the righteous with wealth. Proverbs 8:18–21, 22:4, 13:11

II. Two causes of poverty.

   A. Foolishness. Proverbs 10:4–5

   B. Injustice and oppression. Proverbs 13:23

III. The wise must show concern for the poor. Proverbs 22:9, 28:27, 29:14

IV. Know the limitations of wealth.

   A. Things more valuable than wealth. Proverbs 15:17, 16:16, 22:1, 28:6

   B. Wealth brings a new set of challenges and temptations. Proverbs 13:8, 30:7–9

   C. It can’t save from the day of wrath. Proverbs 11:4, Matthew 16:26
