January 25, 2015
Introduction.
I. Our highest priority. Matthew 22:36–38; Deuteronomy 4:29; Philippians 3:8–11; Daniel 11:32–33
II. Knowing God through prayer. Psalms 55:16–17, 61:1–5; John 15:7; James 1:5, 4:2–3
III. Loving God through obedience to the Word. Psalm 119:1–7; John 14:21–24a
Questions:
- Loving God is a challenge to the ordering of our lives and our life-priorities. What are your life priorities? How do you see these priorities expressed in your daily patterns and practices?
- What priority does prayer have in your life? What is a practical step that you can take in order to spend more time in prayer?
- Loving God requires that we obey Him. What reservations do you have about total obedience? What areas of your life—what relationships, career goals, possessions, etc., do you need to bring under His Lordship?
