1 Kings 8:54-66
July 7, 2019
Introduction:
I. God has brought rest to His people. 1 Kings 8:55-56.
II. Solomon asks the Lord for the blessings we need. 1 Kings 8:57-62.
A. The Lord be with us.
B. Cause us to walk in His ways.
C. Hear our prabyers (especially of repentance and restoration).
D. So that the world mayknow that God is God.
III. A massive number of peace offerings are offered. 1 Kings 8:62-64.
Conclusion:
Questions for reflection:
- To what does the rest granted by God under Solomon point?
- What are the 'blessings' that we are in the most need of?
- How might the priority of thse blessings be made tangible in our lives?
