Introduction:

I.   Paul's deep concern for the Corinthians. 2 Corinthians 2:12-13.

II.  Paul is led by Christ in 'triumphal procession'. 2 Corinthians 2:14.

III. His life is a fragrance of both life and death. 2 Corinthians 2:15-16.

IV.  Paul was not a peddler of God's Word. 2 Corinthians 2:17.

Questions for reflection:

• What is the significance of the 'triumphal procession'?
• Why would God lead Paul (and us) into places of suffering and loss (v.14)? How
  does this serve the kingdom and promote the gospel?
• Paul is showing us, by his example, that there ought to be a close connection
  between our Christian message and personal character. Are there places in your
  character that need to be addressed with repentance and growth?
