Pastor Rich Lanning

I.   We are far more than we seem. 2 Corinthians 4:7.

II.   In the midst of trials, God's power sustains us. 2 Corinthians 4:8-12.

III.  Two keys to Paul's faithful ministry in the face of trials.

       A.  God has and will deliver the apostle. 2 Corinthians 4:13-14.

       B.  His costly ministry will result in thanksgiving and glory to God.
            2 Corinthians 4:15.

Questions for reflection:

  • What does Paul mean when he speaks of 'treasure in jars of clay' (verse 7)?

  • What are ways that you can draw upon the power of God in the midst of trials?

  • What are some of the truths that encourage and motivate Paul to not lose heart?
    (verse 13-15)?
