The Jesus Agenda

For a time now, the Lord has placed on my heart to get out there and spread His word. For those of you who know me, you know that standing up and spreading any word, is a stretch. I am a one-on-one person and content to be so. There have been classes, studies and sermons that have built on the conclusion to which I have drawn as to how to be obedient to the Lord’s calling on my life……

If you are like me, you are really frustrated with the current state of our world. It seems as though there is an agenda out there for every cause (I am not going to list, or even mention, any of them, you know what they are)…..The majority of those causes are in direct contrast to what God teaches in His Word. Those messages are constantly shoved in our faces and, if we are honest, make us become somewhat fearful. Enough is enough!! I personally have decided to combat that evil with good. The thought occurred to me, “Why don’t you promote the Jesus Agenda in everyday life?” So the challenge is before me…I have decided that every time I go through a retail establishment and conduct a sale, I must show the love of Christ and verbalize to the clerk that there is hope in this world. Being prayed up in advance and led by His Spirit, depending on the situation, I offer a genuine blessing of hope and encouragement. The reactions I have received have been amazing. On two occasions, folks were brought to tears. There are real people out there struggling day to day in this same world we live in. They are faced daily with the same negative agendas that we disdain. Let’s not pass up the opportunity to promote the Jesus Agenda to them by showing His grace, peace and love.

Hebrews 10:24: And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, encouraging one another, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
