Women's Discipleship

Women's Discipleship Overview

The goal of Women's discipleship is to create a community of women who are aware of the needs of the other women in our church body and who then respond to those needs with support, discipling, and counsel as needed.

We believe in the Titus 2 model of women discipling other women, so both women involved in a discipling relationship grow and become more like Christ. If you desire an older woman to come alongside you in a discipling relationship, or if you are an older woman seeking to disciple a younger woman, please contact Colleen Grogan.

In order for this kind of community to develop, we seek to provide times of fellowship and fun so women can come together to develop friendships, as well as times of  training, Bible study and prayer so women can grow in their knowledge and application of the truths of Scripture.

Book Club

About 4 times per year, we will read and meet to discuss a book relevant to our lives as Christian women.  This year's overall theme is biography. We have read Mother to Son by Jasmine Holmes, Becoming Elisabeth Elliot  by Ellen Vaughn and  Gay Girl, Good God by Jackie Hill Perry. Check the weekly announcements or back here for the next book club selection!

Moms Growing Together

This group is intended to serve moms who are in the midst of raising children, who desire to grow spiritually and to enjoy the fellowship of other moms and older mentors. Our intention is to provide Titus 2-modeled discipleship, with older moms encouraging, teaching and discipling younger moms. Our goal is to point one another to Jesus and the gospel in every aspect of our lives, so that we may serve God faithfully in our homes, church and the world. During our times together we will share a short devotion and discussion, prayer, fellowship and food.

Prayer evenings

Women can join together for an evening of prayer on the 4th Friday of the month. Contact Colleen Grogan to receive the Zoom link for these times of prayer.

Charity Knitting/Crocheting

There is a group of women who work on their own and as a group (when we can meet in person) to make hand-knit and crocheted items for several agencies in Cincinnati, including City Gospel Mission, LifeForward and Vitas.  Contact Colleen Grogan for more information.
